Hi! My name is Chloe and I am
a recent-ish grad from New Jersey City University (NJCU), receiving a bachelors degree in Marketing (B.S.). During my time at NJCU, I swapped over from Computer Science to Marketing as I worked under NJCU’s Esports department, focusing on Twitch Broadcasts and Social Media and realized Marketing was more my style.
From then on, I have enjoyed my time at NJCU, learning more about Marketing and Business overall, and I currently aim to find a home with a company.

I am passionate about two things: Video Games and Marketing. As a person who consumes content regularly and sees advertisements, social media posts, videos, endorsements, I find that marketing is a large factor on how successful a product and a company is. When it comes to Marketing, I find that after obtaining my degree, that I am more aware and vigilant when it comes to a company’s attempt at a promoting a product and the way that they attempt to reach out to an audience. Monetary budgets aside, I find that most attempts to promote a product, whether the product is good or bad, just fail to wow me and make me wish that I was apart of their marketing department, to understand their goals and aid them in their marketing direction.
Especially when it comes to Video Games as I believe that there are so many games out there that could have made it big, but just never reached the correct audience and/or the game itself lived up to the hype, but there was no follow up. Nothing done to retain the audience they garnered or the company did not listen to their community and disregarded all wants and needs from them, which leads to the downfall of their game.
I have unfortunately seen these moments happen time and time again and get frustrated as both a consumer and bystander as many games have the potential to be great, but just fail to be just that, due to different factors.

I am motivated through what I see online and know that I can be apart of that one day. I believe that I can make it big and help a company’s product find success in their marketing initiative and that one day a company will find me and believe in me as well.
Another major factor that motivates me to try my hardest everyday and grow everyday is my family, as they worked hard and continue to work hard to provide for all of us. My mother has been working all her life and I aim to help her stop working sooner, rather than later and become independent to help her enjoy the rest of her life, providing for her instead.

Some of my strengths include:
Flexibility and Adaptability. I am willing to go with the flow and do whatever is asked of me, even if the work that I am currently doing has to be put aside for later or if the work has nothing to do with what I am currently working on.
Eagerness to Learn. I want to know everything that I can learn, so that I am both more knowledgeable in different areas, but also able to help out in different areas.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking. When there are problems that arise and ideas have to be changed or different, I am able to work out a problem quickly and propose an idea to help solve the problem. If the idea does not work, I go back to the drawing board for another solution, until the solution is found.
Time Management. I respect everyone both in and out of work and understand that time is important and consistently aim to be early or on time, whether it is my physical presence for a meeting or submitting work on time for review and grading.
Teamwork and Determination. I aim for success and constant improvement, both personally and in a team setting, and I am willing to work and communicate with others to get the job done.

Being deep in the video game culture as well as an avid consumer of products, I know what would work for me and the people in my demographic for a successful marketing campaign. I understand what works and what doesn’t work as I make purchases and buy games and products based on what was presented and shown to me online. I have a lot of personal ideas and insight as a gamer and avid consumer and I want to help aid companies in allowing their products to reach their full potential.
Outside of gaming, if I am given a task, I put my 100% into whatever I have to do, oftentimes gaining interest in the topic at hand. I am flexible in my passions as I find different topics, genres, ideas very interesting. I am always on the lookout for new things to focus and learn about and always willing to step out of my zone to understand and learn about new things everyday.
